There are several types of percussion ensembles in Brazil, representing different regional traditions. Hundreds of rhythms are heard throughout the country: samba, samba-reggae, afoxé, maracatu, bumba meu boi, forro, candomble, etc. This small ensemble of eight to fifteen people will explore various rhythms of some of these traditions and the instruments linked to them: surdos, snares, repenike, bells, shekere, tamborim.
